4 Point Foundation Service Call
The Perma Pile System, designed by structural engineers, uses pre-cast concrete cylinders driven hydraulically into the soil beneath the foundation. Each pile is driven to the proper depth to properly support its specified load, assuring permanent repair. A Cap Block is then placed securely on top of the pile, providing a stable base for the next level of piers. The final step in the process is the installation of steel shims between the piles and the foundation, or Grade Beam.
The Perma Pile Foundation Repair
System enjoys many advantages over other other methods such as Cable Lock or Bell Bottom Piers. One is that the dependence of exact knowledge of the soil is greatly minimized. The weightload placed upon the piles is used to drive the length of pile to the proper depth necessary to facilitate support.
The soil is tested as the pile is driven. The amount of friction necessary to support the applied load determines the length of piling system and varies according to the characteristics of the soil.
Another benefit of the Perma Pile System is perfect alignment of the piles. Alignment begins at the surface and continues in a concentric manner to the depth the pile is driven. Because there is no drilling into the soil, alignment is guaranteed. Also, there is no drilling debris to contend with at the bottom, which causes instability and misalignment.
Perhaps the most attractive aspect of the Perma Pile System is that it employs the use of Pre-Cast Concrete Piers, which offers numerous benefits. Because the pile sections are Pre-Cast, onsite concrete pours are eliminated. This also keeps the job site cleaner and is less of a threat to surrounding vegetation and landscaping. The Pre-Casting and Pre-Curing of the concrete cuts down on the length of the job by eliminating the need to test concrete strength. The Pile strength is tested during its installation.
In summation, the Perma Pile Foundation Repair System 1) eliminates the use of heavy equipment which damages yards and landscaping, 2) eliminates days of waiting for concrete to cure, and 3) is fast and permanent.
